This interactive guide works best with JavaScript turned on. Here is the text version (6 flows, 23 steps).
1. Run the setup wizard
- The setup wizard — The first time anyone opens a new Education360, the setup wizard appears. It creates one super-admin account — no sample courses, teachers or students. Everything you enter here can be changed later in Settings.
- Name your institute — Enter the institute name and a short tagline. They appear on the website, on invoices and in the app.
- Language and time zone — Choose the language most of your users read — English or اردو — and your time zone. Every user can still pick their own language later.
- Switches — Turn on only what you use today: live classes, email, SMS, WhatsApp and online payments. Each one is a switch you can flip later in Settings — nothing needs a code change.
- Your super-admin account — Enter your name, email and a strong password (twice). This account can do everything, so keep the password to yourself.
- Create the super admin — Click Create super admin. Education360 sets up its database and signs you in. Your dashboard is empty — that is expected: there is no demo data.
2. Institute details
- Open Settings — Click your picture → Settings (or Settings at the bottom of the menu). The sections are listed on the left; start with Institute.
- Contact details — Fill in the email, phone, address and WhatsApp number. Students see them on the website and on every invoice.
- Logo and NTN — Upload your logo (a square PNG looks best) and add your NTN if you have one — it is printed on invoices and tax certificates.
- Save — Click Save. A green message confirms it.
3. How students pay you
- Bank transfer — Open Settings → Payment Gateways. Under Bank transfer, enter the bank, account title, account number and IBAN. They are printed on every invoice so parents know where to send the fee.
- Online gateways — JazzCash, Easypaisa, card (Stripe) and PayPal are all off until you switch one on and paste the keys your provider gave you. Leave them off if you only take bank transfers and wallet payments by hand.
- Save — Click Save payment settings.
4. Start the catalogue
- Categories are empty — Open Catalogue → Categories. A new institute has none. You can create your own, or add the usual structure in one click.
- Add the starter categories — Click Add starter categories. It adds Religion (Quran, Tajweed, Fiqh, Hadith), Science, Mathematics, Languages, Computing, Test prep and Business, plus the standard levels — no courses, teachers or students.
- Levels — Catalogue → Levels lists Class 1–10, Matric, Intermediate, College, University, Research and Professional. Drag them into the order you like; a course is taught for a range of levels.
- Subjects — Catalogue → Subjects links each subject to a category and the levels it is taught at. Teachers choose subjects when they apply, and every course belongs to one subject.
5. Switch modules on or off
- Modules — Open Settings → Modules. Each part of Education360 that can be switched off has a switch here — for example Accounts if your accountant keeps the books elsewhere.
- Save — Click Save modules. Switched-off modules disappear from every menu straight away; their data is kept.
6. Give the office their logins
- Add a user — Open Users & Roles → Users and click Add User. Only office staff are added here — teachers get a login when you approve their application, students and parents when you add them.
- Name, role and password — Enter the name, choose the role — Admin / Manager runs the institute, Finance handles money — and an email or phone, then a first password to hand over in person.
- Saved — Click Save. Faiza can now sign in and sees only the finance menus.
- Roles & permissions — Users & Roles → Roles & Permissions shows what each role may do. Open a role to tick or untick individual permissions.
